The Scherl & Roth SR51 Galliard student viola brings a hand-crafted instrument into the price range available to beginning players. The SR51 viola features solid wood construction with a spruce top plus maple back and sides. It is finished with a hand-applied spirit varnish. Adjusted by hand in the Scherl & Roth USA workshop, each Galliard viola comes with D’Addario Prelude strings for excellent response and tone. The SR51 Galliard viola outfit includes a carbon fiber bow and thermoplastic case.
